Ledoux Shelving

The Ledoux Shelving System is a meditation on drawing and architecture, reinterpreting classical ideas to explore fresh perspectives on aesthetics and form. Its design relies on the central column to evenly distribute weight, channeling loads directly down its spine to ensure stability and enable impressive cantilevers and unexpected compositions.

What began as ten forms has unfolded into an infinite palette of possibilities, reflecting the ever-expanding dialogue between material, space, and intention. It blurs the line between maximalism and minimalism, offering limitless possibilities.

Crafted in solid wood and made to order in New York, Ledoux Shelving embodies the intersection of function and art.

LEDOUX SHELVING - 2023

The second year of the Ledoux shelving design saw a new fusion of functionality and material experimentation. 2023 introduced integrated storage alongside sculptural ceramic bookends and drawer pulls—each element thoughtfully woven into the composition.

This evolution embraced a striking balance: a minimalist execution of a maximalist vision. Every detail, from the crisp lines to the tactile richness of materials, transforms the shelving into both a practical solution and a sculptural  statement.

LEDOUX SHELVING 2022

The Ledoux Shelving was introduced in New York in May of 2022 at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair where the piece was awarded Best in Show.

The central feature of the design is a boxy column inspired by French Neoclassical architect, Claud Nicolas Ledoux which stands as the backbone to a variety of shelves each having a distinct character and offering infinite combinations.

For this inaugural year, the shelf catalog consists of ten

forms that recall favorite sources of inspiration and laid the foundation for this uniquely evolving object of collectible design.
